Privacy Policy — MineQuest

Overview

MineQuest (package: com.opersontech.minesweeper, "the App") is an offline Minesweeper puzzle game. This policy explains how the App handles your information.

Data Collection

The App itself does not require an account, does not collect your name, email, contacts, location, camera, or microphone data, and has no backend server or analytics SDK. The App is fully playable offline. The only data-related component is the advertising described below.

Data Storage

All information the App creates as you play — Solo, Custom, and Daily Challenge best times and stats, win streaks, Perfect Clear records, 2-Player Duel results, and app settings (board theme, sound/haptics, language, hint preferences) — is stored locally on your device using on-device key-value storage (MMKV). This data:

• Never leaves your device automatically.
• Is not sent to, or backed up on, any server operated by us.
• Is only included in your device's own OS-level backup (e.g. Google Account or iCloud backup), if you have that enabled — this is controlled by your device, not by the App.

Advertising

The App displays ads (banner and interstitial) served through Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, Google Mobile Ads may collect and process device and usage information (such as advertising identifier, IP address, device attributes, and interactions with ads) under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store this information ourselves — it is handled directly between your device and Google.

Depending on your region and device settings, you may be shown a consent prompt for personalized ads, and you can control ad personalization and reset your advertising identifier at any time from your device's system settings (e.g. Settings → Privacy → Ads on iOS, or Settings → Ads on Android).

Permissions

The App requests network/internet access solely so the bundled Google Mobile Ads SDK can request and display ads, along with standard vibration access for haptic feedback during gameplay. No camera, microphone, contacts, or location permissions are requested or used by the App.

Data Deletion

You can reset your local progress and settings by uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored data completely.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If the App is configured or accessed in a way that indicates a child-directed audience, ad requests are made with appropriate settings to limit personalized advertising, consistent with Google AdMob's policies for child-directed treatment.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Since the App does not collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly; please check this page periodically.
